Welcome back for our 7th link Party! Its been a wonderful week here in Baltimore for our family! We’ve been busy getting ready for Thanksgiving, and even doing a few Christmas projects. Did you see my plastic spoon Christmas tree? Yesterday, I also continued work on my kitchen redesign by making a new pallet sign to go above our spice rack.
Even more fun news – tonight I’m having some other bloggers over who also live in the Baltimore area – Liz from Naptime Decorator and Megan from Our Pinteresting Family! On top of that, in the last few weeks, I have felt more a part of the blogging community, a large part because of you guys. Thank you so much for your kind words, your support, and just following along.
Want Free Advertising?
For a limited time, we are offering FREE advertising for one lucky blogger per week who links up at the party. I will RANDOMLY select one link. We will advertise your blog in our sidebar, and trust me, that’s pretty cool since our main OPC site gets thousands of hits per day and The Better Half gets thousands per month! So tell your blogger friends and come link up. (Don’t forget, you have to link back or grab a button to win)
Some Brag-worthy Projects
All of our linked up projects were brag-worthy, for sure, but here are a few that spoke to me!
If you’re a new follower, you may not know that we are only one half of our blog. The other half of One Project Closer is devoted to hard-core home improvement. My hubby Ethan has been rebuilding our shed from scratch and documenting it on the blog. Maybe its because I have sheds on the brain, but I love this shed redesign from The Remodeled Life, complete with a cute wreath. Do you think Ethan will let me paint our new shed? Not likely!
I love this footboard turned French Sign from Plum Doodles. Way to rock the power tools, Sheila!
Have you caught on to the pumpkin obsession? I have! I am dying to try these no-bake Pumpkin Spice Cookies from Shaken Together!
This next brag has been on my DIY list for some time, but Christine from Decorum DIYer reminded me how much I love the oversized ruler for a growth chart – a Pottery Barn knock-off!
Last night, as I was chatting with my hair dresser while getting my hair done, I made the comment that I excited to try a really good pecan pie recipe because I’ve never tried pecan pie. And you don’t want to try a bad recipe when its your first time or you will be tainted against it forever. I am totally gonna make this Pecan Pie from For What Its Worth, although I will probably buy my crust!
Did you follow our summer Before and After series supporting Habitat for Humanity? Well, Dixie Delights was our grand prize winner, a pretty big honor! Here’s another amazing project – her boy boy room before and after! She seriously has amazing style and taste.
Our #1 Brag!
This week, our ad winner was chosen at random using random.org. Out of 57 entries, number 3 was chosen – Linda from With a Blast! Linda has been coming back every week to link up some great projects, and this beach inspired bookshelf from reclaimed wood is too cute! Thanks for linking up, Linda!
Bragging Rules
The Humble Brag is all about encouraging one another in our pursuits (and sometimes even fails). We’re excited to see what you have been up to in your crafting/DIY world. We also welcome recipes and other projects. I will be visiting each and every link over the coming day or two, so bring it on!
We ask that you:
- Please grab a button or link back to this post
- Link directly to your article
- Don’t link to a shop, store or giveaway
Make sure to check back next week to see if your project has been featured and thanks for sharing.
Grab a Button
Remember, please post a button or text link back to our party somewhere in your original post. We hope you also take the time to click on one or two other party-goers projects and give some encouragement.

Thanks for the party!
That giant ruler is so clever. Nice way to keep track of the kiddos’ growth without making it permanent to the house. Love that.
Love the pallet sign! Can’t wait to see it next week!

Some good stuff as always. I like the reclaimed headboard the best. Thanks!
The master bath makeover is inspiring. The hubbs finished the hard work on ours, but I’ve put off doing the niggly things like patching and finishing the decor work. It’s time to make it happen!
Thank you so much for hosting the linky! I am so excited to be the Weekly Brag!
