Happy Black Friday! Thanks for taking a rest from the fabulous shopping deals and turkey eating to link up with us. If you end up shopping later and need awesome home improvement coupons, be sure to check out Kim’s very thorough coupon and discount posts!
I hope you had a peaceful and fun Thanksgiving day filled with love and family! We definitely have, and the festivities keep on going! Wednesday night, we had our first Thanksgiving meal with Kim and Fred and their family. Then, I hosted the small version of Thanksgiving at my house for my family. Today we head to Ethan’s sister house, and tomorrow we have the bigger family celebration at my mom’s. phew…that’s a lot.
But Thanksgiving is actually my favorite of the holidays – I get to concentrate on the gratitude I feel for my family, my friends, a Savior who loves me, without all the pressure of gifts and expectation. Don’t get me wrong, I love gifts, but I love time with family more….and food, of course!
How did you celebrate this Thanksgiving? What are you Thankful for?
Want Free Advertising?
For a limited time, we are offering FREE advertising for one lucky blogger per week who links up at the party. I will RANDOMLY select one link. We will advertise your blog in our sidebar, and trust me, that’s pretty cool since our main OPC site gets thousands of hits per day and The Better Half gets thousands per month! So tell your blogger friends and come link up. (Don’t forget, you have to link back or grab a button to win)
Some Brag-worthy Projects
All of our linked up projects were brag-worthy, for sure, but here are a few that spoke to me!
To start us off, I love this industrial and weathered window box from Sherry at Pondered Primed Perfected (P3)…not to be confused with PS3, the gaming system. lol. I may make one of these to say, “I love you more than my morning Diet Coke.” Of course, it wouldn’t be true because I love Diet Coke THAT much, but it makes it sound like I’m a nice person. haha
I kinda hate Trish from Mom on Timeout for linking these up…these Turtle Thumbprint cookies will be the death of me!
You may have noticed my mild obsession with owls… I may have to try this inexpensive fabric and burlap owl wall decor from Kathy at Life on Lakeshore Drive.
Here’s another cute, simple, and cheap project from Tanya at twelveOeight – a book page wreath. Love the little glittery eggs.
Nichole from Pinkie for Pink made a chic burlap banner by adding lace, painted letters, and flowers. The banner is so pretty, but so if the rest of the mantel – check it out!
Need a quick gift idea? Natalie from North Shore Days shares her tutorial on Sea Glass Wire Wrapped Earrings.
Our #1 Brag!
This week, our ad winner was chosen at random using random.org. Out of 55 entries, number 40 was chosen – Shannon from Fixin’ For Friday! Looks like her kitty loves her new wreath too. 🙂
Bragging Rules
The Humble Brag is all about encouraging one another in our pursuits (and sometimes even fails). We’re excited to see what you have been up to in your crafting/DIY world. We also welcome recipes and other projects. I will be visiting each and every link over the coming day or two, so bring it on!
We ask that you:
- Please grab a button or link back to this post
- Link directly to your article
- Don’t link to a shop, store or giveaway
Make sure to check back next week to see if your project has been featured and thanks for sharing.
Grab a Button
Remember, please post a button or text link back to our party somewhere in your original post. We hope you also take the time to click on one or two other party-goers projects and give some encouragement.
